This item originates from the Roy Moseley collection. Moseley was one of the leaders in show business journalism in England. He wrote many books that appeared on the New York Time’s Best Seller List. Being an author in high regard had its perks, as he was closely connected to royalty and celebrities. Hence his notable work, “My Stars and Other Friends” provides a glimpse into the lifestyle us everyday people dream about. During his career, Moseley brilliantly gathered in person some of the finest autographs in the world. Some were personalized to him as a testament to their respect and kinship. Every celebrity has a story as well as every autograph Moseley obtained. Here now is one of those legacy pieces for your collection.

Claire Trevor appeared in 68 feature films from 1933 to 1982 (per IMDB), winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Key Largo (1948), and received nominations for her roles in The High and the Mighty (1954) and Dead End (1937). She was billed for Stagecoach (1939);  her profile was higher than John Wayne at the time.

Presented from Moseley’s collection is a rare autographed candid Polaroid photo (3.5″ x 4.25″) of the star. Trevor signed the bottom border in black felt tip (“9”) for Ray.
