Presented is a typed signed letter from John F. Kennedy. The Congressional letter (6.25″ x 9″) dates to March 3, 1950. The body of letter indicates it was an apology for an invitation decline. To William F. Kelley, it was signed “Jack” at the bottom after the salutation. The display measures 20″ x 27″.
After a brief stint in journalism, John F. Kennedy represented a working-class Boston district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953. He was subsequently elected to the U.S. Senate and served as the junior senator for Massachusetts from 1953 to 1960.
