Sheila MacRae Signed Photo 8×10 – COA JSA

This item originates from the Louis Basil collection. In the mid-1950’s, Basil moved his family from Chicago to Las Vegas to become one of the city’s best orchestra leaders.  He orchestrated at many places with many headlining stars throughout the United States over many years. He performed in places like The Carman Theater in Philadelphia, Loew’s State Theater in New York, The Chicago Theatre in Chicago, The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas and The Sahara Hotel Las Vegas. Basil obtained these autographed items in person and many were personalized to him or his family members.

Shelia MacRae appeared in such films as Caged (1950), Backfire (1950), and Sex and the Single Girl (1964). On television, MacRae played herself in an episode of I Love Lucy, “The Fashion Show”, in which she asks Lucy to participate in a Hollywood fashion show organized by Don Loper and featuring actors’ wives as models.

Presented is an 8×10 black and white autographed by Sheila MacRae. She signed the photo in blue felt tip (“9”) with a lengthy inscription, “To Vicki – It was fun to know you and we have to meet again”.
